Four Tasmanian Tigers have earned national honours, with Nathan Ellis, Billy Stanlake, Mitch Owen and Nikhil Chaudhary selected for upcoming Australian and Australia A duties.
Ellis and Stanlake have been named in Australia’s ODI squad for six matches across Zimbabwe and South Africa this month, while Owen and Chaudhary will represent Australia A in three one-day matches against India A in October.
Ellis remains a regular member of Australia’s white-ball set-up and featured alongside state and Hurricanes teammate Stanlake during Australia’s ODI tour of Pakistan earlier this year.
Stanlake’s selection continues his return to international cricket after the 204cm quick made his first appearance for Australia in seven years during the opening ODI against Pakistan in May.
For Owen, Australia A selection is another step forward following his taste of international cricket in 2025 and earlier this year. Representing Washington in the MLC in America in July, the 24-year-old finished as the fifth leading run scorer and more recently has been representing Birmingham Phoenix in The Hundred in the UK.
Meanwhile, Chaudhary has earned further national recognition after making his Australian T20 debut against Bangladesh during in June.
Australia’s three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe begins on September 15, before the squad travels to South Africa for three matches from September 24.
Australia A will face India A in three one-day matches on October 6, 9 and 11.
