Tasmanian Tigers selected in CA XI and MRF Academy Program

Cricket Australia has unveiled its CA XI squad to take on Bangladesh in a three-day match in Darwin next month, while also naming an emerging Australian squad for the 2026 MRF Academy Program in Chennai.

Tasmanian representatives feature prominently across both squads, with reigning David Boon Medallist Jake Doran and new Tigers recruit Teague Wyllie selected in the CA XI to face Bangladesh.

Emerging all-rounder Rafael MacMillan has earned selection in the Australian Men's Development Squad for the MRF Academy Program in India, which will be overseen by former Tasmanian Tiger Tim Paine.

The CA XI will assemble in Darwin on 4 August ahead of the three-day fixture against Bangladesh from 6–8 August, with play scheduled daily from 10:00am to 5:00pm local time.

Meanwhile, the Australian Men's Development Squad will travel to Chennai from 1–13 August for the 2026 MRF Academy Program. The tour includes two multi-day matches, scheduled for 5–6 August and 10–11 August, on traditionally spin-friendly wickets designed to challenge and develop the country's emerging talent.
