A familiar face returns to the Tasmanian Tigers as Damien Wright is appointed to the position of Bowling Coach for the Male Tigers program.
Wright, who is currently coaching with the West Indies Women's team in the ICC T20 World Cup will return to the Tigers set up at the conclusion of the World Cup.
Wright a former Tasmanian Tigers representative and Hobart Hurricanes coach is pleased to accept the position with Cricket Tasmania.
"Cricket Tasmania has always held a special place in my heart. The Tigers have played such an important role in my life, both professionally and personally, and I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity to return. I can't wait to reconnect with the players and staff and continue to build something special for Tasmania."
General Manager of High Performance Salliann Beams is looking forward to having Wright's experience with the Tasmanian Tigers.
"Wright brings valuable experience having also coached from some of the world's leading T20 competitions in both the IPL and BBL. Wright's background spans player development, fast bowling coaching and high-performance team environments."
