Imagine it is a classic summer’s day in Hobart. The sun is barely shining and the Bridgewater Gerry has just lifted off the Derwent River. It is a cold start, but the cricket is on at Ninja Stadium.
You grab your membership card, a hat, scarf, raincoat and sunscreen, and head out the door, arriving at Ninja Stadium just in time for the first ball. You walk through the Northern Gate and make your way up the stairs to Level 3, where Michael is there to greet you and welcome you into the Cricket Tasmania Members area. At the entrance, you can pick up your team sheet for the match before heading in to find your seat for morning session.
As things start to warm up, you grab a coffee from the Members Bar, swap the scarf for a hat, and move from behind the glass out to the tiered seating where you can hear the players and really get amongst the action. When lunchtime rolls around, you can grab something from the Members Bar, head downstairs to the Hurricanes Café, or you venture out with some fish and chips to enjoy it by the beach and a bit of peace and quiet.
As play resumes in the afternoon, you decide to change things up and head around to the Ricky Ponting Stand, where you can sit right behind the dugouts and feel part of the team. When the afternoon sun starts to dip, you make your way back inside the Members area to watch the rest of the day’s play in comfort, surrounded by fellow members and Tasmanian cricket fans.
