Following last week’s announcement of the men’s playing lists, the final pieces of the Tigers’ 2026–27 season are coming together with the unveiling of the female program squad.
The squad features several new faces, with full-time contracts awarded to new signings Kate Pelle, Ella Hayward, Alice Davidson-Richards and Caity Mair while Mia Barwick joins as a rookie.
From NSW, the Tigers welcome 20-year-old wicketkeeper-batter Kate Pelle, who progressed through the NSW pathways system before making her WNCL debut in the 2024–25 season. Pelle finished last season as NSW’s leading run-scorer.
Talented off-spinning all-rounder Ella Hayward also joins the Tigers following a successful start in Victoria, where she was named Victoria’s Player of the Season in 2024–25.
English all-rounder Alice Davidson-Richards has been signed in the club’s overseas contract position, replacing Kathryn Bryce, who has not been offered a contract this season due to availability issues.
Also joining the contracted list is Caity Mair. Originally from Queensland, Mair earned her contract following an impressive Tigers debut at the end of last WNCL season, along with strong performances in the CTPL and for the Tasmanian Second XI throughout the 2025–26 season.
In further exciting news, Tasmanians Ava Curtis and Mia Barwick have both been awarded Rookie Contracts for the 2026–27 season. Barwick earns her rookie contract after making a successful WNCL debut last season at just 15 years of age.
Amy Smith and Emma Manix-Geeves have not been offered contracts for the 2026–27 season.
