Manix-Geeves departs Tasmania.

Tasmanian local Emma Manix-Geeves has announced today that she is leaving her home state after signing a contract with New South Wales for the 2026-27 season.

The wicketkeeper-batter earned her first state contract for Tasmania in the 2019-20 season while she was completing Year 12.

Throughout her time with the Tigers, she was a major contributor to their three-peat Women’s National Cricket League titles in 2021-22, 2022-23, and 2023-24. Her century in the final of the first WNCL win will live long in the history of Tasmanian cricket.

Manix-Geeves on leaving the Tigers:

"I leave Cricket Tasmania with nothing but love and respect for the organisation and all the people involved in the club.

Thank you to the teammates I’ve been lucky enough to play alongside, the friendships and memories I’ve made along the way will last a lifetime and I’m forever grateful for the opportunity to represent my home state.

I’m very proud to be Tasmanian and although it’s hard to leave, I’m excited for what’s to come. Tassie will always be my home, but it’s time for a new adventure. Thanks to everyone that’s supported me along the journey so far “

Thank you for all your contributions to Tasmanian cricket Emma.

The full Tigers Women's List for the 2026-27 season will be announced soon.
