GNR Female Program
The GNR female team had a disappointing end to the season and missed the one day final by 1 point.
Ava Curtis, Emma Mannix-Geeves and Montana Bradley were selected to the CTPL team of the year and Courtney Sippel won the batting average this season. A great achievement for our program.
There was a continued focus on youth development this season. Got plenty of games into players under 18 which will hold the program in good stead in the long term
Andy Gower has stepped down after two seasons as head coach of the program. He thanks Stu for his assistance on game day and at training also a big thank you to Kevin and Andrew for driving the bus and scoring during the season
GNR Male Program
The GNR Male team also had a disappointing end to the season finishing 6th overall after only being outside the top 4 for one weekend of the entire season.
Whilst it was sad to miss finals there was still a lot to celebrate, especially the maiden One Day Premiership back in November.
It was good for the Raiders to return to the NW for a 2-day game vs University, whilst the weather wasn’t great, Latrobe were fantastic hosts to both teams.
The following players represented the Tasmanian 2nd X1 during the season:
- Tom Dwyer, Cooper Anthes, Lachlan Clark, Billy Stanlake, Aidan O’Connor
Cooper Anthes and Sam O’Mahony were both selected to the CTPL “Team of the Year”.
2025/6 was another year of games and growth for our young playing group which will hold the program in good stead for years to come.
Head Coach Alistair Taylor conveys his gratitude to Clinton Reid (Assistant Coach), Mick O’Connor (Manager) and all the Scorers and supporters for getting on the road once again and getting behind the boys.

Pathway Programs Update
Pathway programs have finished for the season. Players have had the opportunity to provide feedback on the program through a survey that is designed by Cricket Australia.
Trials for the Rookies program were completed over two weeks in March. Pathway staff observed five games of cricket as well as completed a number of net trial sessions across the greater north, completing talent ratings on boys nominated by their clubs. The talent ratings inform selection for 202/27.
Pathway staff will now work through the planning, selection and communication process, with a view to commencing the 2026/27 pathway programs in June.
Coach Development
Cricket Australia will be launching their new look Coach Certification model later in 2026 which will see opportunities for coaches to receive more meaningful and relevant coach education based on where, and who they are coaching. More information on Coaching Certification opportunities will follow as CA finalise this from their side.
