With two games remaining in the 2025–26 Sheffield Shield season, the Tasmanian Tigers return to action and will host Victoria in the Scott Mason memorial match at Ninja Stadium, with a potential Shield Final on the line.
Victoria has already secured a home Shield Final, but two wins for Tasmania could give them the opportunity to take part in their first final since the 2023–24 season against Western Australia.
Tomorrow's match marks the annual Scott Mason Memorial match between Tasmania and Victoria.
This fixture carries significant meaning for Cricket Tasmania, with Winston Mason presenting a Medal to the match’s best performer in tribute to his son, the late Scott Mason.
Tasmania has last season's Scott Mason Medallist, Kieran Elliott, returning to the squad after recovering from an injury that kept him out of the past couple of Shield matches.
Tigers skipper Jordan Silk has also recovered from a cracked shoulder suffered in their match in Perth three weeks ago, and will be available for tomorrow's match and the One Day Cup Final next week.
Matt Kuhnemann also comes back into the fold after the T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka, and could play his first Shield match since the BBL break, providing important overs with his left-arm spin.
Coming out of Tasmania's squad for the match are Nikhil Chaudhary, Raf MacMillan, Aidan O'Connor, and Mitch Owen.
Tasmania’s 12‑man squad for their match against Victoria is as follows:
Jordan Silk (C)
