The Tasmanian Tigers return to red-ball action tomorrow in Perth, taking on Western Australia with four matches remaining in the 2025–26 Sheffield Shield season.
This will be Tasmania’s first Sheffield Shield match of 2026 following the BBL|15 break.
The Tigers sit fifth on the Shield standings but trail second-placed Queensland by just seven points, with three home fixtures still to come.
Tasmania will be buoyed by the return of Jake Weatherald and Beau Webster, who have both completed their Australian Test duties and will be keen to continue the strong form that earned them national selection.
Also rejoining the squad for his first match of the season is off-spinner Raf MacMillan, who has recovered from a hamstring injury sustained earlier in the summer.
Charlie Wakim also comes into the squad following strong form in the Wilson Homes Cricket Tasmania Premier League, where he has scored six centuries for Lindisfarne.
Kieran Elliott, Brad Hope, Ruwantha Kellapotha and Nivethan Radhakrishnan are all omitted from Tasmania’s previous Shield squad.
Nathan Ellis, Matt Kuhnemann and Mitch Owen are unavailable for selection due to Australian white-ball commitments.
Tasmania's 13-man squad for their match against Western Australia is as follows:
Jordan Silk (C)
Gabe Bell
Jackson Bird
Nikhil Chaudhary
Jake Doran
Caleb Jewell
Raf MacMillan
Aidan O’Connor
Billy Stanlake
