Tasmanian NCIC Squad Announced for National Titles

Cricket Tasmania, in partnership with New Horizons Tasmania, is proud to announce the Tasmanian Intellectual Disability (ID) team who will represent the state at the upcoming National Cricket Inclusion Carnival (NCIC).

The five-day tournament will take place in Perth, Western Australia from January 12-16, 2026.

An extended squad of players have been practicing hard at regional training sessions in recent months, as well as participating in a practice match at Ross.

The team is keen to again represent Cricket Tasmania with pride and give their best shot to go one better this season.

Coach of the Tasmanian ID squad, Josh Marshall discussed how much the playing and coaching staff are looking forward to the competition.

Cricket Tasmania is delighted to again be sending a Tasmanian Intellectual Disablity team to the National Cricket Inclusion Carnival this season.

“This program provides an important representative pathway for cricketers with a disability and is closely aligned with Cricket Tasmania's values of ensuring cricket can be ‘A Sport for All’.

“The players are keen to show off their improved skills, but are just as keen to be able to have some fun, while make good social connections with teammates and players from other states, which is one of the best parts of the competition, said Marshall.

Continuing their support from last year, Aurora Energy is proud to support the Tasmanian Intellectual Disability Cricket Team by sponsoring their travel costs for the upcoming tournament.

Aurora Energy CEO Nigel Clark said the sponsorship helps people of all abilities to participate in cricket and removes financial barriers to participation.
