The Tasmanian Tigers squad for their second match against the Queensland Fire tomorrow sees a late change being made due to injury.
Caitlin Mair comes into the Tasmanian Tigers squad for her first potential WNCL match for Tasmania, following a calf injury to Elyse Villani during the last WNCL match against Queensland yesterday.
Villani, who went for scans today, has been ruled out of the second match, and will have her fitness closely monitored in the lead into Tasmania's next WNCL matches on 28 January against Western Australia at Ninja Stadium. A more detailed update on Villani's return to play will be provided in due course.
Mair joins the Tasmanian Tigers squad after a terrific start to the Wilson Homes Cricket Tasmania Premier League season with North Hobart, where she was also selected for the Hobart Hurricanes T20 Spring Challenge squad.
She also made her debut in the WNCL for Queensland in the 2021 and played in 14 WNCL matches across two seasons before deciding to make the move south to Tasmania at the start of the 2025-26 season.
