Cricket Tasmania Pathways Announcement 2025-26

Cricket Tasmania can proudly share this year’s Emerging Tigers and CT Development Players for the 2025-26 season.

With a strong presence in all aspects of the state, the CT Pathways squads provide an opportunity for cricketers who are viewed to have significant potential and could one day represent their state.

A total of 92 developing young cricketers in Tasmania, 29 females and 63 males, have been selected across the Emerging Tigers and CT Development programs, with many more involved through the Rookie program.

Andrew Gale, Cricket Tasmania’s Male Pathways Head Coach, is happy with the talent that is part of this year’s male pathways.

“We are really pleased with the strong blend of talent across all parts of the state that are part of our 2025/26 Male Pathway.

“We believe that our Pathway program gives our young cricketers across the state the best chance to achieve their dream in becoming professional cricketers.

“We will be using our Pathway Program as well as strong performances in club cricket to help select our Intrastate Cup Squads for October and also our U17 and U19 Tasmanian National Championship squads, in which we aim to be competitive,” stated Gale.

Recent graduates of the Cricket Tasmania pathways system, Ava Curtis and Aidan O’Connor, have been given rookie deals with the Tasmanian Tigers programs following their strong performances in the CTPL and National Championships.

In recent years, former Pathways graduates Beau Webster, Riley Meredith, Mitchell Owen, and Amy Smith have all represented Australia or Australia ‘A’ in the past 12 months showing their fellow Tasmanians a pathway to the highest level.

Natalie Schilov, Cricket Tasmania’s Female Pathways Head Coach, is looking forward to helping the next batch of female cricketers try and get to the next level.

“I am looking forward to working with this year’s group of pathways athletes in the female program.

“While our Emerging Tigers only features six players this summer, there are many talented players who are part of the CT development program who will have a role to play in our national championship squads this summer.

“There’s been no shortage of effort from the group this off-season, and I can’t wait to see what they can do on the field,” said Schilov.
