Weatherald and Stanlake selected in Australia 'A' Squad

As the cricket off-season begins to ramp up, two Tasmanian Tigers players have be rewarded for strong seasons in domestic cricket and the Big Bash, and have been selected in the Australia 'A' squad to take on Sri Lanka in July.

Ricky Ponting Medallist Jake Weatherald and pace bowler Billy Stanlake were selected for the matches that will be taking place in Darwin throughout the off-season.

Three 50-over matches, followed by two four-day matches will be played across three weeks at the Marra Cricket Ground in Darwin with all matches being streamed live on Kayo Sports and cricket.com.au.

Players who had existing overseas opportunities for teams around the world were not considered for selection, with a 16-man squad selected.
