Nominations for Life Membership can be made by any Full Member of Cricket Tasmania and are assessed against a set of criteria that reflect the sustained contribution, impact and values the honour represents.
LIFE MEMBERSHIP CRITERIA:
The following criteria provides a decision-making framework. It is not a compulsory check list, but a guide to help determine whether services is ‘exceptional and outstanding’. A nominee would typically demonstrate several of the following:
Contribution and service
- A sustained period of meaningful service or involvement in Tasmanian cricket
- Contribution at the state or national high-performance level, governance, coaching, officiating, or administrative level.
- Service that significantly advanced cricket in Tasmania.
Impact
- A positive, measurable influence on the development, growth, success, or visibility of cricket in Tasmania.
- Achievements that inspired or enabled others, demonstrated exceptional leadership, or strengthened CT’s reputation on a national and/or international level.
Values, accessibility and inclusion
- Consistent demonstration of Cricket Tasmania’s values and the Spirit of Cricket.
- Conduct that reflects integrity, respect, equity and professionalism.
- Contributions that improved participation, equity, or inclusion across Tasmanian cricket.
NOMINATION PROCESS:
- Nominations should be made to Cricket Tasmania using the official Life Membership Nomination Form (link below).
- Nominations can be made at any time during the year.
- To be considered for the current year’s AGM a nomination must be submitted by 30 June.
- The Cricket Tasmania Board shall review the nomination, and will determine by consensus whether the nomination meets the criteria.
- Accepted nominations will be put forward for consideration by Full Members at the next Annual General Meeting, in accordance with the CT Constitution. The AGM is generally held each year in September.
- Upon confirmation of Life Membership, the Chair or CEO will advise all members of the newly inducted Life Member.
