Club and Association Development
CLUB AND ASSOCIATION DEVELOPMENT FUNDING 2024/25:
Cricket Tasmania is pleased to announce that Club and Association Development Funding is now open for season 2024/25.
This season there will be one round of funding with clubs and associations invited to apply for up to $1,500 for initiatives linked to Cricket Tasmania Community Cricket Strategy, including:
- Cricket Blast - Program Support, Promotion and Experiences
- Junior and Women's Cricket - Recruitment and Retention + Equipment and Experiences
- Volunteer Support - Training and Upskill sessions, improve experiences and support recognition
Funding applications which cover multiple areas of the CT Community Cricket Strategy will be looked upon favorably to receive the full amount of funding.
To be eligible to apply for this season's Club and Association Development Funding clubs must be:
- Successfully affiliated with Cricket Tasmania
- Last season ran or are planning to introduce a Cricket Blast program, Junior program or Women's program.
Once clubs or associations have applied, Cricket Tasmania Community Cricket staff will assess applications and contact clubs with the outcome of their application.
Applications open on Thursday August 8th 2024 and will remain open until all funds have been exhausted.

KOOKABURRA STAGE 1 JUNIOR KIT PACKS:
As a part of Cricket Tasmania’s Community Cricket teams commitment to making the game accessible to all we have purchased a number of Kookaburra Stage 1 Junior Kit Packs which are set to be distributed out to clubs.
The aim of these kits are to be shared kits for clubs to allow them to advertise players can register without the need to purchase their own gear. This can help to reduce the barrier of cost to new or existing participants as they will not have to purchase their own gear.
To discuss your clubs eligibility for one of these kits please contact your local Community Cricket Manager Paul Taylor (South) and Josh Marshall (Greater North).
Please note: There is only a limited number of kits available and once all have been allocated to clubs no further kits will be purchased and distributed for this season.
Australian Cricket Infrastructure Fund
Cricket Tasmania and Cricket Australia are partnering to provide clubs, associations, schools, councils and cricket facility managers with the opportunity to apply for funding for cricket facility projects.
The ACIF has been further bolstered by the announcement of contribution towards facility development via the Grassroots Cricket Fund. The Grassroots Cricket Fund is a partnership between The Australian Cricketers' Association and Cricket Australia, with funding being contributed by Australian cricketers to support cricket in local communities.
The Australian Cricket Infrastructure Fund for 2024/25 will open in late 2024 and close in early 2025.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who can apply to the ACIF?
Clubs, associations, councils, schools, facility managers or any other organisation with a role as a user or manager of a community cricket facility.
How can I apply for funding from the ACIF?
Applications are submitted via an online form, the links to which will be made available when the next round is opened.
What types of projects receive funding from the ACIF?
Projects must be focused on growing cricket participation and/or providing welcoming and inclusive environments for all participants. Typical projects include the construction or refurbishment of pitches, ovals, practice facilities, change rooms, pavilions and supporting infrastructure.
Are there projects that the ACIF doesn't support?
The ACIF doesn’t support:
1) Sporting equipment e.g. temporary nets, stumps, turf pitch covers
2) Field of play fencing
3) Sight screens
4) Temporary facilities e.g. temporary shade, temporary storage
5) Projects that have already commenced construction
6) Routine maintenance works and/or maintenance equipment e.g. rollers, mowers
7) Facilities that have been previously funded (unless delivering a new facility component/separate stage of works)
8) Projects where works have been covered by insurance
9) Facilities with no/limited public use
10) Projects unable to demonstrate how they will support the overall growth of community cricket

How much funding can I apply for?
The ACIF has two grant categories relating to the amount of the funding request:
- Community Cricket Infrastructure Grants - Minor: $1,000 - $15,000
- Community Cricket Infrastructure Grants - Major: $15,001 - $40,000
