After a fruitful seven years as Cricket Tasmania’s exclusive major partner for Beer, Cider, and specific RTDs, the partnership with Lion has been further strengthened with a newly signed five-year deal.
Lion first came on board as Ninja Stadium’s exclusive alcohol provider in the 2018-19 season, with the terms of agreement extending to 2029 for all tap and packaged Beer and Lemon RTDs within the venue.
Lion is supporting Tasmanian cricket across the state, with the deal supporting clubs and associations, above and beyond stadium pourage rights.
Cricket Tasmania’s Partnerships and Infrastructure General Manager, Alison Turner expressed her delight to have Cricket Tasmania continue their successful partnership with Lion.
"Our journey with Lion has been nothing short of fantastic, and their unwavering support for Cricket Tasmania and our clubs has made a real difference.
“By the end of this partnership, we’ll have shared over ten years together – a testament to their dedication to Tasmanian cricket and their generosity towards supporting local sport,” said Turner.
Lion will also be the sole supplier of Lemon RTD products, James Squire Alcoholic Lemon Squash and their fastest-growing brand, Kirin Hyoketsu, which are sure to be a hit for fans at Ninja this summer.
Lion’s State Sales Manager, John Burchill is pleased to be partnering with Cricket Tasmania for another five seasons.
“We are proud to continue to support Tasmanian cricket including Cricket North, Cricket North West and Cricket Tasmania Premier League, and look forward to cheersing plenty of sixes this season with an ice cold beverage at the stadium”.
Lion’s products will be available at Ninja Stadium for the first time this summer, starting today, as Tasmania hosts its opening Sheffield Shield match of the season.
They will be available at all matches at Ninja Stadium this summer, as a major partner of Cricket Tasmania’s professional teams, the Hobart Hurricanes and Tasmanian Tigers.
