Australian Cricket Infrastructure Fund

Cricket Tasmania, Cricket Australia and the Australian Cricketers’ Association are partnering to provide clubs, associations, schools, councils and cricket facility managers with the opportunity to apply for funding for cricket facility projects.

The Australian Cricket Infrastructure Fund for 2023/24 is now open and closes at midnight 16 February 2024.

All projects submitted to the Australian Cricket Infrastructure Fund must be compliant with the Community Cricket Facility Guidelines.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can apply to the ACIF?

Clubs, associations, councils, schools, facility managers or any other organisation with a role as a user or manager of a community cricket facility.

How can I apply for funding from the ACIF?
Applications are submitted via an online form, the links to which are included above.

What types of projects receive funding from the ACIF?

Projects must be focused on growing cricket participation and/or providing welcoming and inclusive environments for all participants. Typical projects include the construction or refurbishment of pitches, ovals, practice facilities, change rooms, pavilions and supporting infrastructure.

Are there projects that the ACIF doesn't support?

The ACIF doesn’t support:

1) Sporting equipment e.g. temporary nets, stumps, turf pitch covers

2) Field of play fencing

3) Sight screens

4) Temporary facilities e.g. temporary shade, temporary storage

5) Projects that have already commenced construction

6) Routine maintenance works and/or maintenance equipment e.g. rollers, mowers

7) Facilities that have been previously funded (unless delivering a new facility component/separate stage of works)

8) Projects where works have been covered by insurance

9) Facilities with no/limited public use

10) Projects unable to demonstrate how they will support the overall growth of community cricket

How much funding can I apply for?

The ACIF has two grant categories relating to the amount of the funding request:

  • Community Cricket Infrastructure Grants - Minor: $1,000 - $15,000
  • Community Cricket Infrastructure Grants - Major: $15,001 - $40,000
