Sam Rainbird consistently found himself involved in the Tigers structure last season. Following his win of the Sheffield Shield Player of the Year for the Tigers in 2013/14, Rainbird played in 7 Shield matches, taking 18 wickets, the second most of any Tiger for the season. Rainbird also lead the team in wickets in the Matador Cup, taking 11 wickets in his 7 matches. At just 22, and with the backing of an AIS scholarship, Rainbird will be looking to make a major impact on the Tigers season, and after a solid pre-season, push for a future call up into the national side.
