Nathan Ellis

One of the great cricketing stories in recent years, Nathan Ellis is an example of what hard work, dedication and a fighting spirit can achieve. Moving to Tasmania in 2017 with no guarantee of state cricket, Ellis has become an overnight sensation and one of the most important pace bowlers in both the Tasmanian and national setup.

Breaking onto the scene in the 2019/20 Sheffield Shield campaign, Ellis captured 18 wickets in just two fixtures with best figures of 6-43, at an average of 16. Fast forward two years, and Ellis received his first Australian callup, and became the first ever bowler to take a hat-trick on debut in T20 International cricket.

A crafty bowler who can vary his pace and possesses a variety of deliveries, Ellis has shone with the white ball for both Australia, the Tigers, and the Hurricanes – and is only scratching the surface of his exceptional talent.
