Nicola Carey
A star of Australian Women’s cricket, Nicola Carey has established herself as one of the nations premium all-rounders and clutch bowlers, often entrusted with the ball in late game situations.
Making the switch from New South Wales to Tasmania in 2019, Carey has starred with both bat and ball thus far – throughout the 2020/21 season she averaged 47.50 with the bat (including a maiden Tigers century) and took 11 wickets to boot.
A mainstay in the national side at both One Day and T20 level since breaking into the side in 2020, Carey was a member of the winning T20 World Cup team against India that same year, and has represented her country in the Women’s Ashes.
Adding another domestic century already in season 2021/22, Carey no doubt hopes to take her Tigers form into the 2022 Women’s World Cup in New Zealand later this year.
