Despite only being 17, it feels like local young gun Amy Smith has been a Tasmanian Tiger forever. The prodigal leg spinner/batter made her debut in the WNCL at just 14 years of age, and remains one of the most exciting prospects across the nation.
Winner of Tasmanian Female Young Player of the Year two seasons in a row from 2018-2020, Smith received her full Tigers contract ahead of the 2020/21 season, and took the WBBL by storm when she broke onto the scene as a 15 year old in WBBL|05 for the Hobart Hurricanes, claiming big wickets with her skillful leg spin.
Smith is also adept with the bat, best showcased by her recent form in Premier cricket, slashing back to back centuries for her club New Town in 2022.
