Cricket Tasmania would like to announce the signing of Tom Andrews who will be joining the Tigers program for the 2020-21 Season.

Andrews is formerly from South Australia where he played as an all rounder, batting left-handed and delivering a slow left-arm orthodox bowling style.

“I’m really looking forward to coming to Tasmania, there are plenty of opportunities that will arise because of it,” he said.

“I was looking for a fresh start and this seemed like the best option for me.”

Andrews spoke of how he is looking at playing as much cricket as he can, with both the red ball and the white ball.

“I’m looking to come over for a new start to prove myself, I want to make sure that I can get off on the right foot,” he noted.

“I want to have a great pre-season, and train as hard as I can.”

Over the last few years Tom has gained a few shield games under his belt and focused on his batting as much as he can to improve it.

“Tassie’s specialty is quick bowling and if I can work on my batting, I can put my best foot forward as an all rounder.”

“I’ve really enjoyed the Shield format more than others, but at the end of the day I’ll be working on all three formats equally.”

Stay tuned for more signing announcements throughout the week.
