Tasmanian cricket fans have an even bigger reason to celebrate this morning with affordable pricing for the November Test match announced just a week after the confirmation that South Africa will play Australia at Blundstone Arena from the 12th of November.

As part of a continuing commitment to put fans first Cricket Australia is making Test and one-day matches more affordable next season.

A thorough review instigated by Cricket Australia last year has produced a streamlined ticketing program around the country.

Fans in Hobart are able to continue to enjoy same-level prices from last season when Cricket Australia reduced pricing in the state.

There are also reductions across Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum tickets at most venues, with more than three quarters of all seats to be sold at lower prices than last season.

Cricket Tasmania Chief Executive David Johnston said that the ticket pricing is affordable and the streamlined program has made the process more accessible.

“Record numbers of fans have been attending elite cricket matches in Australia during recent seasons and we have been working with Cricket Australia to ensure international cricket is also very accessible to our Tasmanian cricket fans.

“Tasmania has the lowest entry price across the nation for international cricket with $25 tickets for adults, $8 for children and $54 for families.

"There will also be some General Admission (GA) seating available in the Ricky Ponting and David Boon Stand on a 'first-in' basis as well Hill seating available at GA prices.

“Tasmanian cricket fans have a greater choice with prices suitable for a wider range of fans to see high quality international cricket,” Johnston said.

Prices have been reduced with entry level tickets for international matches no more than $30 for adults, $10 for children and $65 for families at all Test and one-day venues. To view all ticket prices for venues throughout Australia visit HERE.

Cricket Australia is rewarding its most loyal fans by offering Australian Cricket Family members priority access to all tickets and a 20 percent discount to the best seats in the house for those who buy early.

Tickets to the 2016-17 international summer of cricket will go on sale from the 31 May 2016. Fans are encouraged to sign up to the Australian Cricket Family at www.cricket.com.au/acf before Sunday 22 May 2016. Membership is free.
