The Tasmanian Tigers have named a 14-man squad for the side's final Sheffield Shield round match against Victoria starting Wednesday 14 March.
The winner of the contest will likely book a place in the Sheffield Shield final after both the Tigers and Bushrangers escaped with narrow victories during the week.
Ben McDermott, who captained the Tasmanian Futures League side against South Australia, has been named in the squad after scoring 70 in the first innings of that fixture, while fast bowler Hamish Kingston has also been named.
The Tigers currently sit in second position on the Sheffield Shield table, one place above the Victorian Bushrangers, with the winner likely to face the Queensland Bulls in the Sheffield Shield final.
The match will take on even more significance as the Scott Mason Memorial Match, named in honour of former Tasmanian first-class cricketer Scott Mason who tragically died from a heart attack in 2005 and the age of just 28.
