The Tasmanian Tigers will play on their home deck for the first time this 2021-22 season tomorrow, when they take on South Australia at Blundstone Arena.

After three matches on the road so far this season – resulting, a draw, a win and a loss – the Tigers will be looking to make the most of their home-ground advantage with another win.

The last time the two teams met – and the only time they faced each other last season – was in a in a draw at the batter-friendly Karen Rolton Oval, during the Marsh Sheffield Shield ‘hub’.  A total of 1,035 runs were scored in that match, with South Australian captain being named Player of the Match after scoring an unbeaten 171 in the second innings.

Jake Doran top-scored for the Tasmanians on this occasion, notching 112 runs off 229 deliveries.

If selected in the starting XI, Brad Hope would make his Tigers debut, whilst Jake Doran would earn his 50th first-class cap.

Nathan Ellis and Matthew Wade (World Cup) and Jackson Bird and Tim Paine (injury) remain unavailable for selection.

The Tasmanian and South Australian teams will acknowledge the life of the late Keith Bradshaw at tomorrow's match.  The Tasmanian-born, South Australian Cricket Association (SACA) Chief Executive Officer passed away on Monday after a long battle with illness.  Cricket Tasmania Chairman, Andrew Gaggin, who knew Bradshaw for over 40 years, will speak to both sides pre-match.
