Divin finalises the 2016-17 squad along with the recent signings of interstate player Georgia Redmayne [NSW] and former Irish skipper Isobel Joyce who arrived in Hobart this week.
Tasmanian Roar Coach Julia Price said she is happy to have the squad finally confirmed with local player Emily Divin earning the 14th contract.
“Emily has proven she can be self-driven by training separately from the squad and has also demonstrated commitment to all facets of the game in the pre-season,” she said.

Captain Veronica Pyke will once again lead the team this season, but this year will have 26-year-old Brooke Hepburn by her side.
“Brooke’s elevation to vice-captain comes from her ‘lead by example’ approach to her cricket particularly over the last two years. It’s great to have a Tasmanian-born player displaying these attributes to complement Veronica Pyke’s experienced leadership,” Price said.
Members of the Tasmanian Roar will participate in three of the Cricket Tasmania Women’s Intrastate Cup matches before the start of the season, with the first hitting off this weekend and giving players a great opportunity to put their skills into practice in the 50-over style match ahead of competition. The Women’s National Cricket League starts next month, with Tasmania taking on Queensland in Brisbane on the 13th October.
