In what will be their penultimate Women’s National Cricket League (WNCL) match of the regular season – and their last match at home – the Tigers will be looking to tame a Queensland Fire team who are nipping at their heels on the WNCL standings.
It will require a turning of the tides from the Tasmanians however, who were beaten comprehensively by 101 runs the last time the two teams met in September 2019. Despite their recent solid form, Tasmania are also without a victory from their last three attempts at Blundstone Arena in the WNCL. In fact, their last win at the Hobart venue in this competition came in October 2016 against the ACT Meteors.
Tigers captain, Sasha Moloney, will again likely be a key player in the match, after recording career-best figures of 4-37 when Tasmania last faced Queensland. On the other side of the ledger, Georgia Prestwidge, also recorded her best WNCL figures in that September 2019 match up, when she finished with 4-41.
The Tigers have named an unchanged squad of 13 to take on the Queensland Fire:

If selected in the final XI, Maddison Brooks will make her Tigers debut.
