A few months out of the game since his record-breaking Sheffield Shield season ended hasn't hurt Matthew Wade's form, as he blasted a century off just 52 balls for Australia A overnight in the tour opener vs. Northamptonshire.
Tigers and Hurricanes skipper Wade, joined the A teams' tour late following the arrival of his and wife Julia's second daughter, Goldie Hue, was on from the get go, reaching his half century in 27 deliveries at the County Ground in Northampton.
His second half-century took just 25 deliveries as he zoomed past triple figures before falling for 117 from 67 deliveries as Australia A comfortably accounted for their opponent by six wickets.

Wade will next get to firm his case for Australia A selection on Sunday against Derbyshire.
