The Tasmanian Tigers will now switch to one-day mode as they prepare to take on the Queensland Bulls in their second Marsh One-Day Cup match of the season tomorrow.

The Tigers will be out for vengeance not just following this week’s Shield match, but from the last time the two sides met in the one-day format as well.  The two sides met at Blundstone Arena in the second match of the shortened 2020-21 season earlier this year, and it was the Bulls who came away four-wicket winners.

Billy Stanlake came away as Player of the Match on that occasion, after finishing with figures of 4-24 off his 10 overs.  However, the Tigers will also have to be aware of captain, Usman Khawaja, who is not only in incredible touch with the bat currently, but last time the two sides met in a white-ball fixture, top-scored with an impressive knock of 93.

The Tasmanian Tigers have named a 13-player squad to take on Queensland in Townsville tomorrow:

Tom Andrews
Jake Doran
Caleb Jewell
Ben Manenti
Ben McDermott
Riley Meredith
Mitch Owen
Tom Rogers
Peter Siddle
Jordan Silk (c)
Charlie Wakim
Beau Webster
Mac Wright

New additions to the squad include uncontracted players, Ben Manenti and Tom Rogers.  If selecting in the final XI, Manenti would be making his Tasmanian Tigers debut.

Peter Siddle returns to the squad after having been rested for this week's Marsh Sheffield Shield clash at the same venue due to load management.

Ben McDermott in the squad after recovering from a back injury that ruled him out of this week's Marsh Sheffield Shield match.

Nathan Ellis and Matthew Wade (World Cup) and Jackson Bird, Tim Paine and Sam Rainbird (injury) are unavailable for selection.

Play commences at 11.05am AEDT, with the game to be broadcast on Fox Cricket, and livestreamed via Kayo Sports and cricket.com.au.
