The role of the Hurricanes Fan Council is to advise and shape the future direction of the Hobart Hurricanes.
The Hurricanes Fan Council is a selected panel of volunteers who represent different stakeholders and interest groups from the wider fan base and cricket community.
They will act as a consultation group to the Hurricanes Management.
The Hurricanes Fan Council will consist of representatives from the following community segments:
• Sporty Families (Mums)
• Women’s Cricketers
• Community Cricket Clubs
• Hobart Hurricanes & Cricket Tasmania Members
• Female Fans
• Northern Tasmania Fans
• North West Tasmania Fans
• Southern Tasmania Fans
• Tasmania’s Multicultural Community.
Successful applicants will be elected to represent one of the above groups and will be required to represent their interest group via work on sub-committees.
These sub-committees will be tasked to address specific Hurricanes opportunities such as:
- Match-Day Experiences
- Community & Fan Engagement
- Match Ticketing
The Hurricanes Fan Council will meet FOUR times during the year - March, June, September and December - but may also include additional research tasks and consultation sessions with club management during the cricket off-season.

The role of the Hurricanes Fan Council Member is entirely voluntary and applicants need to be either Hobart Hurricanes or Cricket Tasmania Members for the current season.
