Cricket Tasmania is excited to announce the signing of Heather Graham for the Tigers 2020-21 Season.
Graham formerly played for her home state in Western Australia and has now made the move to Tasmania.
The right-handed batsman made her Australian ODI Debut in October 2019, and narrowly missed selection in the Australian Squad for the Women’s T20 World Cup earlier in the year.
She is a very handy right arm medium-fast bowler and is a terrific addition in the Tasmanian line up.
We caught up with Graham to discuss her move to the state.
“After playing with Western Australia for nine years I was ready for a fresh start and the opportunity to Tasmania came up,” she said.
“I’ll have different coaches who can hopefully teach me some new things so I can look to grow my game to really push for that Australian contract.”
Graham spoke of her former role with Western Australia and how she hoped to pass on some of her knowledge by being one of the more experienced players in the squad.
“With all the experience that I’ve had in the past years, I can hopefully bring some of it down to the girls here in Tassie.”
“I’m really looking forward to getting stuck into the season with all of the squad.”
