Tasmania will be well represented when England play a CA XI squad in Perth next week, with four Tasmanian Tigers being selected in the squad.

Jake Doran, Gabe Bell, Nick Buchanan and Mac Wright have been picked in the 12-man squad which play a two-day game against England’s Ashes squad at the WACA over December 9 and 10.

Doran and Bell have been regular members of the Tasmanian Tigers Sheffield Shield side this season.

Bell currently sits sixth on the overall wicket-takers list for the Sheffield Shield competition, with 15 wickets in four matches at an average of 20.80.

Doran has had a solid start to his four-day season also, sitting third on Tasmania’s overall run-scoring list with 230 at an average of 32.68.

He broke through for his maiden first-class hundred against South Australia at the Adelaide Oval last week.

Nick Buchanan made his List-A debut for the Tigers during the JLT One-Day Cup after relocating from Queensland, and has also played two Toyota Futures League matches.

Mac Wright was also in action during the JLT Cup, playing five games for the CA XI.

The leg-spinner was also part of the Hobart Hurricanes Academy squad which completed a two-game series against the Auckland Aces yesterday.
