Cricket Tasmania is proud to introduce its Club Recognition Fund which will reward cricket clubs across the state for the vital role they play in developing the next generation of male and female Tasmanian Tigers.

This season Cricket Tasmania will provide funding to Premier and Community cricket clubs who have produced players that have been selected for Tasmanian state teams and squads.

The first players eligible for this initiative depart the state this weekend with the Under 17 Boys squad traveling to Queensland for their National Championships in Mackay.

Community and Premier Cricket clubs will also be eligible for funding when Tasmanian-born players are selected into Tasmanian Tigers Male and Female, Male Under 15, Male Under 19, Female Under 15 and Female Under 18 squads for the first time.

"In addition to supporting cricket clubs across Tasmania, this scheme reinforces to clubs the integral role they continue to play in our Premier Cricket Strategy in preparing talent to succeed in First-Class cricket," said Cricket Tasmania Chief Executive Nick Cummins.

"We're investing in the contribution and countless hours coaches and club volunteers put in to developing the Tigers stars of the future."

A player must have played a minimum of 15 career games with a respective club for them to be eligible to receive payment.
