Cricket North West has created history at the 2020/21 Tasmanian Community Cricket Awards, becoming the first Association to win Community Cricket Association of the Year back-t-back.

Cricket North West has again set the standard this season by continuing to adapt their offerings to provide a range of relevant cricket experiences for the community in a new ‘COVID-normal’ environment.

A highlight of their work this season saw Cricket North West collaborate with their clubs to realign their junior pathway using a staged approach, to help kids develop the required skills within the appropriate format.

In 2020/21, Cricket North West supported their clubs by offering the following competitions:

- Under 12 (Stage 1)
- Under 14 (Stage 2)
- Under 16 (Stage 3)
- Girls’ Development Under 14 (Stage 1)
- Girls’ Under 17 (Stage 2)
- Boys’ Under 18
- Female 2nd Grade
- Male 2nd Grade
- Female 1st Grade
- Male 1st Grade
- Social T20 League
- Junior representative cricket
- Woolworths Cricket Blast (all associated clubs ran a Woolworths Cricket Blast program)

In addition to offering a broad range of cricket experiences, Cricket North West also recently provided financial support to their clubs, to assist with upgrades to turf playing facilities to cater for growth in participant numbers and the range of programs offered.

Congratulations to President, Shane Crawford, the entire Cricket North West Board, and all associated clubs involved for another fantastic season.
