The Tasmanian branch of the Australian Cricket Society has taken over the day-to-day operations of the Tasmanian Cricket Museum & Library and Oval Tours at Blundstone Arena.

The Society has done so with the support of Cricket Tasmania, which will provide ongoing funding of the facility through the Hurricanes Foundation.

Since the establishment of the Museum and Library in 2003 a loyal band of Society members have provided outstanding volunteering support to the operations of the facility but to ensure its viability long term there is an aim to increase revenue to enable a permanent part-time Manager to be appointed.

In the meantime, volunteer support will continue to be integral to successful operations and, to that end, the Society is keen to expand the current volunteering base to attend to cataloguing, exhibit display and maintenance, supervision of normal visitations to the Museum and conducting Oval Tours.

The Society would welcome enquiry from CT members willing to become a volunteer by contacting either Gill McClelland on 6223996 or Geoff Rowlands on 0407543526 or 62477269.

CT members wishing to provide a tax deductible donation to the operations of the facility are encouraged to do so via the Hurricanes Foundation from which such donations will be directed to the Museum and Library.
