Do you know the Laws of Cricket?

A Laws School will be conducted at Bellerive Oval in Hobart, NTCA Ground in Launceston and Devonport Oval in Devonport prior to the 2010-11 season.

With the MCC having released an updated version of the Laws of Cricket to become effective from October 1st 2010, attending the course should be mandatory for all umpires and anyone wanting to know and understand the Laws of the game.

Attendance is open to anyone and is provided free of charge. The new Law books will be available at a cost of $6.00.

The course is approved by Cricket Australia and is accepted as the Laws component of their Level II National Umpires Accreditation Scheme.

There will be an option of sitting an exam for anyone wishing to umpire Cricket Tasmania controlled matches or to just test their knowledge. The sessions will comprise a workshop environment with new and experienced people working together predominantly in small groups, to ensure the Art of Umpiring is appropriately addressed while learning/reviewing the Laws of the game.
