Tickets for the KFC T20 International at Blundstone Arena this summer have gone on sale to the general public today with Cricket Tasmania Chief Executive Nick Cummins urging fans to book now to avoid disappointment.
The second match in the T20 tri-series will feature Australia and England and is set for Wednesday the 7th of February at 7.40pm at Blundstone Arena. Fans can expect a riveting contest with both sides boasting some of the most exciting and explosive T20 players in the world in the shortest format of the game which will see action on and off the field.
Cricket Tasmania Chief Executive Nick Cummins said while the match isn’t until February 2018, the success of the Hurricanes has seen Blundstone Arena can draw a big crowd and the chance to see two exciting international teams playing the T20 format is always fantastic.
“With England coming to Australia tickets will be in high demand and we are hoping for a sell-out after what we hope will be a very successful WBBL and BBL season.
“It’s exciting to have England back at Blundstone Arena and with T20 becoming more popular, and with the upcoming World T20, it’s a great opportunity for Blundstone Arena to put its best foot forward as a great world-class venue,” Mr Cummins said.
The upcoming 2017-18 International season will feature the first ever day-night Ashes Test, in Adelaide, five One-Day Internationals, and a T20 trans-Tasman tri-series against England and New Zealand.
