Tasmania won the toss and batted finishing on 6/170. The PKF Tigers batting line-up were again solid with an opening partnership of 77 off 38 balls, with Lockyear (55), Bailey (39) and Krejza making 28 off 26 balls. Allistair McDermott was the best of the Bulls bowling taking 3-25 and Daniel Doran claimed 2-17.
The best of the Queensland batsmen was Wade Townsend who hit 66 off 45 balls and Kruger with 27 runs, however the PKF Tigers' bowling line-up and strength in the field was too strong with PKF Tasmanian Tigers celebrity team member Allistair Lynch taking 3-15, Dighton 1-12, new recruit Matthew Day 1-16 and MacDonald 1-13.
Queensland were defeated by The PKF Tigers by 28 runs after 18.3 overs, the Bulls finishing on 10/142 and the PKF Tigers coming away with their third Twenty20 win as part of their pre-season tour. The PKF Tasmanian Tigers fielded brilliantly to effect three run-outs and took the last 9 Queensland wickets for 64 runs in 68 deliveries.
