Vaughan brings with him solid experience as a former player with South Australia, former Assistant and Interim Head Coach with the Redbacks and the Strikers, as well as batting consultant with the South Australian Scorpions.

Head Coach Adam Griffith said he was very excited to have Jeff come on board with the Tigers program.

“Jeff brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the batting space, which was a very important position for me.

“He has worked well with the likes of Callum Ferguson and Travis Head during his time in South Australia and I am looking forward to seeing him develop the batting group we have here.

“He is also a person of outstanding character and work ethic who will fit in very nicely to what we are building within the program,” Griffith said.

43-year-old Vaughan has recently been working in the education, well-being and life-skills field for both professional and non-professional athletes.

Vaughan said he is very much looking forward to being able to work with Cricket Tasmania and hopes to bring energy, skills and assisted direction to the High-Performance system throughout Tasmanian cricket.

“I’m extremely excited to be able to work with Adam as we have crossed paths over many years as both players and coaches and my belief is that Adam will be an outstanding head Coach,” Vaughan said.

Vaughan arrives in Hobart this afternoon and will hit the ground running joining the squad for training over the coming weeks.
