Cricket Tasmania has today announced that the contract of Tasmanian Tigers Academy and Youth Pathway Manager Richard Allanby will not be renewed after the 2017-18 season.

Cricket Tasmania General Manager – High Performance Drew Ginn said the organization was extremely grateful for Allanby’s service over 11 years.

“This is an important time for Cricket Tasmania and the decisions like this one and the ones that have been made this year are all to ensure we take tangible and significant steps towards our goals to drive performance change in our teams”, he said.

Allanby said that he had thoroughly enjoyed his time with Cricket Tasmania.

“I’ve loved working at Cricket Tasmania and I’ve made some wonderful friends over the journey,” he said.

“It’s been very enjoyable to develop many younger players into first-class players – some of which went on to play for Australia.

“I’m very disappointed not to still be involved in the organisation but respect the decision.

“I’m looking forward to the next chapter in my life and will follow the Tigers closely.”

Cricket Tasmania will not be making any further comment on this matter.
