The Tasmanian Cricket Museum offers a special experience for cricket enthusiasts with innovative displays, video and state-of-the-art interactive technology. Tasmania's rich cricket heritage dating back to the very early years of settlement is illustrated through displays and video and the most recent addition to the Museum is the Ricky Ponting Corner, that was unveiled by Ricky himself prior to the first Twenty20 International match under lights at Bellerive Oval on February 21 2010.
Cricket Tasmania Library
The Max Atwell Memorial Library was established after the Association's Board of directors agreed to purchase the cricket library assembled and owned by the late Max Atwell.
The collection of approximately 3,000 books was regarded as one of the finest private libraries in Australia.
The library has continued to grow through generous donations by Cricket Tasmanian Members and cricket followers around the State.
The library, originally in the TCA Boardroom, was moved to its own room adjacent to the Museum on the first floor of the Members Pavilion, on the completion of the redevelopment of Bellerive Oval. The books are housed in bookcases generously donated to Cricket Tasmania by the Melick family. Cricket Tasmania Members and anyone wishing to carry out research are encouraged to use the excellent facilities now available.
