Event Sales Manager

 Cricket Tasmania is looking for a hands-on Event Sales Manager to be the face of hospitality at Blundstone Arena!

Combine your passion for sales and events as you sell Cricket Tasmania corporate hospitality, events, functions and the use of Blundstone Arena facilities to your network of clients.

Reporting to the General Manager, Hobart Hurricanes, you will:

  • Work towards agreed operations targets and budgets
  • Identify and actively seek new opportunities and markets for Blundstone Arena
  • Timely and accurate quoting, confirmation and invoice of bookings
  • Develop, expand and diversify Hobart Hurricanes, Blundstone Arena and Cricket Tasmania corporate networks
  • Oversee the day to day management of the hospitality section of the Cricket Tasmania CRM database.
  • Lead the way in developing innovative solutions to maximize long-term sustainable revenue to drive investment in the cricket for Tasmania

To be successful in the role you must have:

  • 5+ years sales experience, preferably in a sports hospitality environment
  • Strong relationship and stakeholder management skills
  • Previous experience in budgeting and quoting for events
  • Confidence in public speaking and presenting to groups

 

The Event Sales Manager will work with all of Cricket Tasmania’s brands – Hobart Hurricanes (BBL/WBBL), Cricket Tasmania and Blundstone Arena as we grow Tasmania’s only professional sport.

Room Attendant

Cricket Tasmania is the governing body of cricket in Tasmania promoting and developing the game throughout the state. As a unique and iconic sporting organisation Cricket Tasmania has responsibility for all aspects of the sport within Tasmania from junior cricket and coaching programs through to professional players, coaches and umpires.

Cricket Tasmania has an exciting casual employment opportunity for a Room Attendant to join our Cricket Operations team. Reporting to the Cricket Operations Manager, these casual positions undertake the role at venues utilised for Domestic and International Cricket. You will work with the Cricket Operations and Venue Operations teams to deliver home and visiting cricket team requirements off the field and in change rooms during matches hosted by Cricket Tasmania.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage team areas including changerooms, viewing and seating areas
  • Delivery of team requirements
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of CT matches
  • Conduit between teams and match stakeholders

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • The ability to work independently and take responsibility for facilities/property
  • Knowledge of or ability to quickly obtain knowledge of cricket
  • Strong stakeholder and service skills
  • Excellent team work and communication skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Discretion and experience in acting confidentially
  • Ability to work in accordance with Cricket Tasmania’s values
  • Availability to work at required times as determined by the cricket match schedule
  • Current driver’s license
